As you are aware, June 15th Marks the day the government has eased some lockdown rules in the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. As a vet practice however, it is not business as usual for us; we face the challenge of providing care for our clients while trying to maintain social distancing. We can only remain open while our team are healthy, and we are taking the safety of our clients and team very seriously. Below you will see what we are doing to help our clients in these challenging times and what we expect of our clients in return. Please read this carefully.
Opening hours: as of today, we are open 08:00-20:00 Mon-Sat with phonelines being open 08:00-18:30 Mon – Sat. Sundays we are open 10:00-16:00 with phonelines open between 10:00-15:00.
To do this we will be working in 2 teams, so your preferred vet may not be available.
We are still trying to do most appointments via video or phone consult.
Video consults cost £28.00 phone consults cost £15.00
We can do limited booster appointments (PLEASE EMAIL REGARDING BOOSTERS TO KEEP THE PHONELINES FREE FOR EMERGENCIES)
We will have a receptionist in the window to greet clients arriving for appointments and medication collections. Please read the signage outside the practice. There is no need to call to inform us of your presence.
All medications will need to have been paid for before leaving the practice, whether over the phone or in person on collection via a card payment.
Please try to avoid payment with cash where possible.
What we expect of our clients:
Please wear a mask at all times when interacting with staff
Please utilise Vetstoria, this is the website used for ordering repeat medications and booking phone and video consultations. You can access this via the “book now” button on Facebook or “book online” button at the top of our website. PLEASE READ THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL THOROUGHLY AND CAREFULLY. This will inform you of everything you need to know about how to access your video consultation and when your medications will be ready for collection.
Please utilise our email address for non-urgent queries: email@example.com. This keeps the phonelines more available for urgent and emergency calls.
Please be polite and listen to our staff’s instructions, we have put these protocols in place to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. We understand it is a worrying time, but we are doing what we can to ensure the best possible care we can in the midst of a global pandemic. Abusive language/behaviour to our staff will not be tolerated.
We are not taking on new clients already registered elsewhere.
These protocols and opening hours are only in place while social distancing is in place, we are not permanently planning on continuing these extended opening times, as unfortunately it is not feasible for our small team to permanently work these hours. Please keep an eye on our social media and website for further updates.
